Packaging design

The Brief

Fentimans, a long-established name in botanical brewing, has grown into an internationally recognised soft drinks producer, with its range now widely stocked across Europe. Our partnership with Fentimans has spanned multiple years and projects, supporting their journey as they’ve expanded their presence in the global marketplace.


The Process

Label Design & Packaging

One of our earliest challenges was helping Fentimans create consistency across their iconic front bottle labels. Over the years, with the addition of flavours and bottle sizes, some inconsistencies had crept into the artwork, which was beginning to become an issue as the company expanded. To standardise the existing artwork, we carefully recreated each label, fine-tuning the designs whilst making sure that fonts, colours and layouts were consistent.


This project also included the redesign of the back-of-bottle labels to accommodate the multilingual requirements of the European market. This involved extensive typographic planning, to ensure clarity and legibility across multiple languages, while still maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the Fentimans brand.


We also developed bespoke packaging for their four-pack range. Each variant features custom illustrations that reflect the natural ingredients within the drink — bringing to life the essence of flavours such as rose lemonade and herbal tonic. These illustrations created a distinctive visual language for each product while clearly appearing as part of a unified set.


Production & Technical Support

This wasn’t just a visual project — we also worked closely with Fentimans’ print partners to ensure the designs would be suitable for large-scale production. From die-traces to colour calibration to material finishes, we provided technical support to ensure that the end product was produced to match everyone’s expectations.


The Outcome

As Fentimans continues to grow, we’re proud to have played a part in shaping a brand that now enjoys recognition across multiple international markets. It’s always very satisfying to see our work in the real world, but it’s especially nice to see something we have worked on while at the bar on holiday! This project reflects what we do best: blending design with strategic thinking and technical precision, to help brands grow and connect with their audiences.
